The Pelvic Girdle and The Spine

As part of our commitment to continuing education New Zealand Collage of Massage are proud to bring you Mark Finch. 

Mark is a Registered Massage Therapist (Canada) who has been in practice since 1996. He has training in Massage Therapy, Structural Integration (KMI) and Visceral Manipulation. He has a passion for treating myofascial tissues in all its forms and clinically reasoning the most appropriate strategies for each individual patient. He has treated successfully in a variety of therapeutic settings from touring with Riverdance the Show to his current practice. He clinically collaborates with well known Physiotherapist Diane Lee with whom he co-teaches some courses. Mark taught Tom Myers’ Anatomy Trains™ courses in many international venues from 2005-2011. He now teaches his own Myofascial release courses in Canada and Australasia. Mark resides in Vancouver BC where he maintains a busy practice and enjoys the outdoors with his family.

In this two day class you’ll learn assessment and clinical reasoning skills to help you determine where to treat, a skill that is vital to clinical efficiency and effectiveness. You’ll learn treatment techniques derived from my background in Structural Integration, Massage Therapy and Visceral Manipulation. You’ll leave with new techniques that you can apply immediately and concepts to help you think about treating the whole person. Learn More

  • Learn about contextual factors and contemporary pain science concepts.
  • Learn assessment techniques that are meaningful to the patient and simple to use in the the clinic.
  • Learn clinical reasoning skills to determine the most effective and efficient place to treat.
  • Learn the current state of connective tissue research, this is a missing piece for many clinician’s understanding of soft tissue treatment.
  • Learn precise and effective techniques to improve function.
  • Understand how treatment of the Pelvic Girdle fits into an integrative approach to treatment of the whole person.
