We’ve purposefully shaped our Level 4 programme so that our new students are set-up for success. 

You’ll learn the fundamentals of massage, gain confidence in your ability, and be supported to study at a higher level. You’ll also get a thorough introduction to this amazing industry and see where it can take you.

Location

This programme is offered at all our Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch Campuses. 

Full-time Study

This course is considered full-time, as it requires 20 hours of classroom attendance each week and most work is done on campus.

This programme requires  

  • Allow at least 18 hours per week for additional study, Student Clinic, and massage practice
  • Programme includes 30 supervised clinic hours at the College, including evenings and weekends
  • All components must be completed within 6 months

Level 5 New Zealand Diploma in Wellness and Relaxation Massage.

Entry Requirements

  • Be 18 years of age or over.
  • NCEA level 2, including 10 Literacy credits (5 credits reading and 5 credits writing), and 10 Numeracy credits (Level 1), or New Zealand Certificate in Study and Career Preparation (Level 3), or equivalent.
  • For applicants 20 years or over, who do not meet the above requirements, discretionary admission is possible pending successful interview.
  • Competence in English language: Additionally, International Students and those whose first language is not English are required to score at least IELTS 5.5 (General or Academic) with no band score lower than 5 or NZQA approved equivalent.
  • All applicants will be interviewed to ensure their suitability for the programme.
  • The NZCM Code of Ethics must be read, considered, agreed to and signed.
  • Prior to confirmation of enrolment applicants are required to undergo Police Vetting.
