What career pathways are available to me as a Massage Therapist?
Our graduates have found work in multi-disciplinary health practices, private practice, hospitals, rehabilitation centres, community centres, gyms and sports complexes, physiotherapy or chiropractic clinics, complementary health clinics, hotels and spa resorts, cruise ships, corporate franchises, community mental health centres and nursing homes, as well as in education.
Therapeutic Massage and Sport Massage graduates can work with individuals and groups of all ages, assisting those recovering from or dealing with injury, chronic pain or disability, as well as individuals and groups looking for stress management intervention and injury prevention strategies.

Are your qualifications nationally and internationally recognised?
NZCM is an NZQA (New Zealand Qualification Authority) registered and accredited provider of tertiary qualifications. All our programs, certificates, diplomas and advanced diplomas are NZQA recognised.
How many hours are in an average day at NZCM?
Most programmes run 3 days per week, and on average commence at 9.15am and finish at 4:15pm. (This may differ between sites). Contact your nearest campus for exact attendance days for your course of interest.
Do you supply accommodation for students?
NZCM can assist in finding students safe, centrally located accommodation to make their stay at NZCM enjoyable, cost effective and hassle free.
NZCM has pastoral guidance and support personnel at all sites and can assist students with their accommodation needs; either through managed hostels, student flats or apartments.
When is the cut-off date for applications and how long does the application process take?
Applications close 2 weeks prior to the course start date, however late applications may be considered.
All applicants will be contacted to schedule an interview (either in person or over the telephone) with a member of our Academic Team.
The total application process on average, from start to finish can be between 10 – 14 days.
Does NZCM offer financial assistance?
NZCM is a NZQA registered and accredited provider of tertiary qualifications. This means, all our full-time courses are eligible for student loans and allowances. Part Time courses are eligible for Student Loans only.

Are there scholarships available?
Each year NZCM offers a selected number of part or full tuition fee scholarships across our three sites in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch.
Scholarships are awarded on the following criteria:
- Academic Achievement – Exceptional Academic Record
- Hardship – Exceptional Financial Hardship
- Cultural / Community Contribution – Commitment to specific culture and/or community.
How do I apply for a Scholarship?
To apply for scholarships, individuals are required to send a detailed Curriculum Vitae, Covering Letter and two written references of support (from teachers or members of the community) along with the application of study.
